Our Borchard Farm Field trip was a success, thanks to all the Driver Chaperones that helped!

We also want to thank all the parents that volunteered to help during our Harvest celebration!

 

*Dear Parents, we have been switching student’s shirts inside out or into a different shirt due to inappropriate language or pictures. We are a Christian Preschool and we do not welcome demonic pictures or dark words. For example, Devil, Hell. We have students that can read those words and we find those graphics contradicting to our school Christian base and curriculum. We thank you in advance for your support and understanding of this situation.

*Please remember to pack your child a nutritious lunch every day. Please pack your child’s lunch in plastic containers, no glass containers allowed for safety precautions.

*Parents of children who are not potty trained, please make sure that you restock your child’s diaper box with diapers and wipes as needed.

*Please remember to restock your child’s “Extra Clothes” box as needed.

 

November brings the splendid autumn air and along with lots of event s to mark on our calendar.

November 12th- School will be closed in honor of Veterans Day

November 20th- School Thanksgiving Lunch. $5.00 payment due

November 21st- 23rd   School will be closed- Thanksgiving break

Here at the preschool, we are all very excited about the month of October! We can’t wait for all the exciting events October will bring, so please mark your calendars.

*Friday, October 5th- Earthquake Drill

We will be using a YouTube video to learn all about Earthquake readiness. We invite your family to watch this fun video together before our school practice drill. The video is called, “Earthquake Safety with Anna Wainscott”

*Monday, October 15th Field Trip Permission slip due

*Friday, October 26th – Borchard Farms School Field trip

The cost for the children’s field trip and the background check for parents will be at no cost to you, thanks to the funds that were raised by last year’s Cookie dough fundraiser. This year’s fundraiser catalog will be going out soon, please help us make next year’s school field trips free for our children by participating in this fundraiser. More information with regards to fundraiser due dates will be coming to you soon.

 For those of you who will be transporting children to the Field Trip, please fill out the Authorization of Background Investigation form, and bring it back the same day or the day after you get it. Thank you for volunteering.

*Friday, October 26th – $5.00 due for Harvest Lunch Party

*Wednesday, October 31st – Harvest Celebration 9:30- 12:30

9:30 a.m. We will parade to AAA

10:00 a.m. We will have a catwalk in the “Dynamic Dinosaur Class” to Show off our costumes

11:45 a.m. Lunch Party

Please pay $5.00 to cover your child’s lunch for this day. We will be serving Chicken Nuggets, Vegetables & Fruit, Juice, and a special treat for this very special lunch party.

This event will be over at 12:30 p.m. The Teachers will need lots of help cleaning up, so please plan on being here a little later after 12:30.

Feel free to bring your child in with their costume on.

* Gory, scary costumes are not allowed and LFP is not responsible for any costume lost items*

Volunteers are highly needed for this event. Please sign-up as soon as the sign-up sheet goes up. Thank you in advance.

 A special thanks to all the Families that joined us at the back to school night event, and to all the Grandmas and Grandpas that joined us for their special day!

Welcome back Little Friends Preschool families! We are blessed

to have you all back. This school year will be a great one!

I would like to take the time to answer some of the most asked

questions we’ve had so far. If you have any additional questions,

please don’t hesitate to ask any of the Teachers or myself.

your Grandparent to lunch day.
*They bring a sack lunch to
join you 12:00-12:30.
Monday, Sept. 10th. –
PICTURE DAY ~
7:30a.m.-9:30a.m.
Friday, Sept. 14th.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
6:00p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Take Note:

  1. *State Regulation requires: * Every child to have a blanket and

a pillow for nap time. Due to the storage space, it needs to be a

small pillow and blanket that must go home every Friday for

washing and brought back on Monday mornings. Each item

needs to have your child’s name on it.

  1. *Toys from home are to be brought to school only on

FRIDAYS FOR “SHOW & TELL”.

  1. *Please pack your child with a well- balanced lunch. Some sort

of protein, fruit, and vegetables as well as a drink. No candy,

cookies, Soda, Gum, fruit roll-ups, (100% fruit treats are allowed

for lunch).

Lunches:

We do sell Lunches for $5.00 each. Please fill out the “Oh No I

forgot my lunch” form on the sign in table, and hand it to a teacher.

The $5.00 payment will need to be paid on the same day that the

lunch is served. No IOU’S, please.

  1. *Please make sure that your child has extra clothes in their

cubby for those “just in case” times. If your Child has an

accident, please make sure to take the wet clothes home and

bring in clean clothes the next day.

Label all your child’s belongings, especially jackets and sweaters.

  1. *Breakfast is served between 8:30 a.m. – 8:55 a.m.
  2. *Lesson teaching time begins at 9:00 a.m., please have

your child here before this time.

April Newsletter

We are looking forward to better weather and more outside time with fresh air for the kids, so please have your child bring a light jacket for our a.m. and p.m. outside time.

Mark your calendar for the following events:

April 20th– Some of our staff will be traveling to Sacramento for a training. The school will remain open, we are asking that you pick up your children as soon as possible since we will not be able to leave the school until the children ratio is low. We thank you for your support.

April 27th– Recycling Presentation

 We will be having Mrs. Estela from The Salinas Valley Recycling center come and teach the children all about composting and recycling. You are welcome to join us. She will begin with a recycling presentation at 11:00 am and will conclude with a hands-on composting table after 11:30 am.

 

April 30th – Día Del Nino celebration (Day of the Child celebration)

We will be celebrating by having a pizza lunch and face painting for the children.

We will need volunteers to participate during recess (11:00 am to 12:00 p.m.) for face painting, Ice cone machine area, and Popcorn machine area. If you are interested in helping, please let the teachers know.

 

 

 

 

                                                                          REMINDERS

Every Friday is show and tell at the preschool. Toys need to stay at home all other days of the week. You are always welcome to come and join us with your show and tell!

 

Please take all personal items and work from your child’s cubby.

 

 

Parents please pack your child a lunch from home every day, lunch that is sold at school is for emergencies only. If you have an emergency and we need to feed your child a lunch, please fill out an “I forgot my lunch” form. This form needs to be filled out turned in to a teacher along with a $5.00 payment. No IOU’S.

March Newsletter

The LFP team would like to thank all the parents that blessed us with all the sweet Valentine’s day gifts, we thank you so much for your kind generosity!

Also, a special THANK YOU! To Mrs. Olsen, Guinevere’s Mom, Mrs. Martinez, Delilah’s Mom, and Mrs. Huneywell, Natalie’s Mom for making our valentines day lunch possible! Thank you, Mommies, for the delicious spaghetti Lunch!

Important dates:

March 2nd– Earthquake Drill

March 16th-. Plastic Egg Donations are due. We are asking that each child donates at least half a dozen white plastic eggs to decorate for our Egg Hunt.  

March 19th– SPCA Visit @ 11:00

March 22nd– Easter Play (Dress your Easter Best)

Children will need to be dropped off in “The Perfect Panda” class by 6:30 PM

“The Legend of the Three Trees” Play will begin at 7:00 PM See you all there!

March 28th– Last Day to pay for Easter Lunch

March 29th Easter Egg hunt and Party

March 30th School will be closed.

Starting March please pay exact amount for your child’s Tuition, we do not keep any extra cash at the preschool. If you pay extra the remining cash will be credited to your child’s account.

 

Thank you to all the families that returned the Valentine’s day heart, they were all very creative and beautiful!

 Since we had such a great response with The Valentine’s day heart project I have attached a page with an Easter Egg with this month’s Newsletter. Please decorate this Egg with your child and send it back to school to keep up our hallway with this month’s theme.

      Little Friends Preschool February Newsletter

February is the perfect Month to celebrate love and Family, here at Little Friends Preschool we will be doing so throughout the month.

 We would like to thank the families for their unconditional support during this last month, We are truly blessed to work with all of you.

                                                                Important information

*We are in the process of enrolling a student who is highly allergic to peanuts and we are slowly becoming a peanut free school, please help us out by limiting peanut products in your child’s lunch, especially if your child is in the “Busy Bee” Class. Thank you in advance.

*Friday, February 2nd– Little Friends will be celebrating Dr. Seuss Birthday. We welcome our students to dress up as their favorite Dr. Seuss character, or one created by their imagination. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a visit to any of our local libraries and check out any of Dr. Seuss silly books!

*Friday, February 9th- Walking Post Office Fieldtrip begins at 9:30 a.m. Sign up to help a walking chaperone!

*Tuesday, February 13th– $5.00 Payment for Lunch Due (Spaghetti & Meat Balls, fruits, and a dessert will be served)

*Wednesday, February 14 – Valentine’s Day Party

*Monday, February 19th- School will be closed in honor of President’s Day

Our Borchard Farm Field trip was a success thanks to all the Driver Chaperones that helped.

A special thanks to Mr. Nogeras, Michaels dad for blessing us with a great discount in our field trip check and for all the pumpkins and gourds that decorate our faller!  

Thank you Mrs. Nequiz for blessing our little friends with a Coupon for a free kinds meal at Panda Express! What a delicious treat!

We also want to thank all the parents that volunteered to help during our Harvest celebration, including Delilah’s mom for picking up the pizza for me.

Little Friends Staff is very excited to announce that we will be having our Third Cookie Dough fundraiser!

We are asking for your help by supporting us on this exciting event for our preschool. We are hoping that each student sells at least 5 orders. Money will be used to cover school field trips, School Garden, and school Toys.  The order forms will be going out on November 3rd. Money and fundraiser orders will be due on Friday November 17th.  We will be getting our orders in about two weeks after we place our order.

In advance, we thank you for your cooperation and support.

We are having so much fun here at the preschool enjoying the great weather and company of your children.

 

Our prayers have been heard and we have been blessed with a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Mary!

Mrs. Mary has a lot to offer to our school with 45 years of experience working with children from Pre-K through 5th grade! Not to mention she has the experience of being a Preschool Director and Elementary School Principal. We look forward to working with her and leaning from her experience.

As we say goodbye to friends and another school year, we welcome in the sunshine!

Please mark the following important dates in your calendars:

  • Friday June 2nd—Father’s Day breakfast 6:45 to 9:00 a.m.
  • Thursday June 8th– Graduation Day, Mrs. Tammy from MommieRazzi Photography will be at the preschool taking pictures from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Our Candy theme ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. everyone is invited, so we hope to see you all there.
  • Monday June 19th– Summer Program begins

Little Friends Preschool is pleased to offer a fun, educational summer program for your children this summer. Our themes go as follows:

Important announcements:

Our New Tuition prices will be affective starting this August Prices go as follows

Full Time rates $645.00

Part Time rates $486.00

Book Fee $60.00

These prices will be effective as of August 2017.

 

  • If your child will be 4 before September 1st or if your child does not meet the cut off for Kindergarten (September 1st) $60.00 will be due before June 30th.
  • Your child’s tuition is due before the 5th of every month, please pay on time to avoid a $30.00 late fee.
  • Children whose last day will be on June 8th (Graduation Day) will need to get a pro-rated amount for June by me. This payment will be due before the 5th of June with NO EXEPTIONS.
  • Please label all of your child’s personal belongings.

 

  • Please have your child bring in a Jacket every day for school.

 

  • It is mandated by the state that your child has a blanket and Pillow for nap time, so if your child naps please provide a blanket and Pillow for him or her every day. Also, please sign your child in and out daily.

 

Thank you for being faithful in paying your child’s tuition. We trust that you will finish the last semester as you have. Your finances help make our school possible for your child, and other children.

 As we come to end of the 2015-2016 school year, the LFP team want to thank you for trusting us with your precious children, we pray and hope that during this school year we were able to meet your expectation.
